Is silence golden in today’s world?

It is somewhere close to you, Somewhere around you, Not in something deep but in something you can feel, We hardly experience it in our daily lives, But ask your grandma she says its divine, You may feel you know it but no you do not, Your ears are numb you don’t hear anything, But look inside you do you still hear nothing? Friends, family, secrets, and cries So much noise is enough for you to forget you and your points It is not that difficult cause silence lives within, No matter who speaks you will hear it therein, Silence never lies it always tells the truth Singing a sweet melody or a haunting tune,  So just be silent when you are angry, silent when you think, But let your voice be heard to do a good deed,  The feeling of silence is lonely, The sound of silence is haunting, The smell of silence is airy, But once you get to know it It sounds a lot homely, a lot familiar, a lot holy.   Greetings, this is a piece of poetry I w...

SARCASM- A powerful Weapon

Image
I am here to confess something today, All my life I thought air was free until I bought a bag of chips. True right, I mean they can’t be fooling us like that, this is what today’s post is about SARCASM , sounds familiar right. Sarcasm is the caustic use of irony, in which words are used to communicate the opposite of their surface meaning, in a humorous way or to mock someone or something. Pheww!! That was a short definition for a 7-letter word SARCASM- A powerful weapon in the 21 st century. Sarcasm so saturates the 21 st century that according to one study of a database of telephone conversations, 23% of the time the phrase, “yeah, right” was used it was uttered sarcastically. Entire phrases have almost lost their literal meaning because they’re so frequently said with a sneer. “Big Deal” for example, when’s the last time someone said that to you & meant it sincerely? Aren’t you special is now almost always equal to you aren’t. Sarcastic statements are...

A Day worth Remembering

Today 17 th March 2022 a day in my life worth remembering This day taught me the value of patience, hard work & resilience, That it all matters at the very end, all those sacrifices, sleepless nights & second thoughts, Each and every one of them was worth it.    This day taught me the value of those who did not support me,  That all of them played such a huge role in my life without even realizing that they were actually pushing me to bring out the best in me.   This day taught me the value of time, the value of each hour, each day, each week all of it, That it matters, it is always up to me, If I want to spend an hour on social media or If I want to invest the same time towards things I love doing, like writing.   This day taught me the value of appreciation, validation & applause , That even positive feedback from a stranger works like a key to that lock I’ve been trying to open, Just a ‘congo’ from a friend I have...

Someone was so proud of me Today!

Hii Mahi, Today I am so proud of you, so proud of you for being who you are and believing in yourself, for trusting your instincts, and always for just being you and nobody else. I just want to tell you that please remember that no matter if anybody ever supports you or not I will always be there for you, I will always be just a pen away, I will always be just a keyboard away. Every time you express yourself, all those moments when you refuse to fit into the conventional standards of pre-decided societal norms which were relevant a long time ago but not anymore you make me proud you bring a smile to my face, and my eyes sparkle as if I just saw a golden retriever puppy passing by on the streets down the lane. You are unique and different from anybody else I know, you are confident, you are brave and most importantly you are human. The empathy you hold in your heart for not just other people around you but all creatures on this earth, that fire I see in your eyes every time you s...
